Health for Tomorrow

Last week, the 6th edition of the ETH Week took place at Hönggerberg and Balgrist in Zurich. Have a look at what the participants experienced!

ETH Week is a key project of the Critical Thinking Initiative with the goal to foster independent thinking and responsible acting. It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration by building on disciplinary expertise and gives students the opportunity to analyse and reflect important societal problems. This year's topic was "Health for Tomorrow".

A key attribute of ETH Week is that students learn to identify the problem they want to tackle rather than work on a task that is handed to them. To get started, they are provided with an introduction to the topic in all of its dimensions and put them in touch with Swiss actors and stakeholders from the field to deepen their knowledge. They are asked to build on the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies, to critically reflect them in their team, and bring it together to find new approaches. They are also introduced to various methods for solving problems and for generating ideas. However, like in the real-world, everyone is responsible for managing their time and for setting their own goals. Tutors are available to guide the teams through the week. No prior knowledge is required, all students at ETH Zurich may participate.

Join us on a journey throughout the six days of ETH Week!
